Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between ColourHaus | Spraying Yorkshire Limited ("we", "us", "our") and you ("the customer") when you engage our spray painting and refinishing services. Please read them carefully before instructing us to carry out any work.

1. Quotations and Acceptance

All written quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. A quotation is not a binding contract. A contract is formed when we confirm acceptance of your order in writing (by email or letter) and a deposit is paid.

We reserve the right to withdraw or amend a quotation before acceptance if the scope of work changes, or if information provided at the site visit was materially inaccurate.

2. Deposits and Payment

A deposit of 25% of the quoted price is required to secure your booking. The balance is due on completion of the work unless alternative payment terms are agreed in writing. We accept payment by bank transfer or card.

Where 0% finance is arranged through a third-party finance provider, the terms of that agreement take precedence for the financed portion.

We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue invoices at 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

3. Access and Preparation

You are responsible for ensuring we have safe and unobstructed access to the work area on the agreed start date. Where access is not available on the agreed date and reasonable notice was not given, we reserve the right to charge for lost time.

Unless stated otherwise in your quotation, you are responsible for clearing personal items, food, and breakables from the work area prior to our arrival. We will mask and protect surfaces as part of our standard service, but we cannot be held responsible for items left within the work area.

4. Colour Matching and Approval

Colour samples are provided during your free consultation. Once you have approved a colour and we have mixed the paint, changes to the colour specification may incur an additional charge to cover material costs.

Colour matching from existing painted surfaces is carried out using spectrophotometer technology, but an exact match cannot be guaranteed in all circumstances due to the effects of fading, soiling, and substrate variation. We will advise you of any known limitations before work commences.

5. Our Obligations

We will carry out all work with reasonable skill and care, using appropriate materials and equipment. We will take reasonable steps to protect your property and minimise disruption.

All work is carried out by our employed team. We do not use subcontractors unless stated otherwise in your quotation and agreed with you in advance.

6. Guarantee

Subject to the exclusions below, we provide the following written guarantees:

The guarantee covers defects in workmanship and paint adhesion under normal use. It does not cover:

To make a guarantee claim, contact us at info@colourhaus.co.uk with photographic evidence. We will inspect the work within 14 days and, if the claim is valid, carry out remedial work at no charge.

7. Liability

Our total liability to you in connection with any contract shall not exceed the total price paid by you for the work in question.

We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit or loss of use, arising from our services.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

We maintain public liability insurance. Evidence of our insurance is available on request.

8. Cancellation and Rescheduling

You may cancel your booking by giving written notice. The following cancellation charges apply:

We will reschedule your booking at no additional charge where you give at least 7 days' notice, subject to availability.

9. Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer (not acting in the course of a business), the Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies and gives you additional statutory rights alongside these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, if you have contracted with us at a distance (online or by phone), you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of the contract. This right does not apply once work has commenced with your agreement.

10. Complaints

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us as soon as possible so we can address the issue. Email info@colourhaus.co.uk or call 07973 106 612. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 business days and resolve them within 14 days.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version applying to your contract is the one in force at the date your booking is confirmed.
