Colour Matching Service Yorkshire

Spectrophotometer colour matching technology gives access to 175,000 colours including the full RAL range, Farrow and Ball, Little Greene and Dulux Trade. Match any colour exactly.

Match Any Colour, Exactly

Choosing the right colour for a kitchen, uPVC or fitted furniture project is one of the most consequential decisions in the process. Get it right and the room feels transformed. Get it wrong and no quality of spraying will save the result. At ColourHaus, we have built our colour matching capability specifically to ensure you can choose with complete confidence.

Using professional spectrophotometer technology, we can analyse any colour sample and reproduce it precisely. Whether you have a paint chip from a magazine, a tile from a showroom, a photograph of a neighbour's kitchen, or a swatch card from Farrow and Ball, we can match it.

What Is Spectrophotometer Colour Matching?

A spectrophotometer measures the exact wavelengths of light reflected by a surface to determine its precise colour, independent of ambient light conditions and human perception. The reading is translated into a colour formula that we use to mix paint to match. The result is a colour match that is accurate to within a fraction of a unit on the Delta E scale used to measure colour difference, meaning the human eye cannot detect any difference between the sample and the mixed colour.

The Range Available

We hold access to over 175,000 colours across the following ranges: the full RAL Classic and Design colour systems, Farrow and Ball, Little Greene, Dulux Trade, Johnstones, Crown and many more. If your chosen colour exists anywhere in the commercial paint world, we can source and match it. If it exists only in your imagination or on a physical sample, we can measure and reproduce it.

How the Process Works

During the free home consultation, we bring a selection of physical spray samples in the colours most relevant to your project. If you have a specific colour in mind, bring the sample, reference number or chip to the consultation. We scan it with the spectrophotometer, identify the closest formula and mix accordingly.

For most projects, we then apply the colour to a small test panel and leave it with you for 24 to 48 hours so you can view it in your space at different times of day under natural and artificial light. Only once you are satisfied with the colour do we proceed with the full project.

Two-Tone and Multi-Colour Projects

Many Yorkshire homeowners are choosing two-tone finishes for their kitchens, typically a darker colour on the base cabinets and a lighter colour on the uppers. We provide colour matching and consultation for both tones simultaneously, ensuring the colours work together and coordinate with your worktops, flooring and tiles. This is one of the most valuable parts of the consultation process.

Colour Advice for Your Yorkshire Kitchen

North-facing kitchens benefit from warmer colours: greens, creams and warm greys that compensate for the cooler natural light. South-facing kitchens can carry cooler colours more successfully. The aspect of your kitchen, the colour of your worktops and your flooring all affect how any given colour will read in the finished room. We take all of these factors into account during the consultation and guide you to a choice you will be satisfied with for years.
