Unlike chemical stripping, there are no solvents, no residues and no risk of chemical damage to the material beneath. Unlike mechanical stripping, there is no abrasion that could alter the profile or integrity of delicate surfaces.

Applications

Laser stripping is used in a wide range of applications across Yorkshire:

Kitchen door stripping is the most common domestic application. When kitchen cabinet doors need to be taken back to bare wood or MDF before refinishing, laser stripping removes old paint, varnish and filler quickly and cleanly without the mess of chemical strippers or the risk of mechanical damage.

Heritage stone cleaning uses laser stripping to remove pollution deposits, biological growth and surface discolouration from sandstone, limestone and other natural stone on historic buildings. The process is approved for use on listed structures where chemical and mechanical methods are prohibited.

Graffiti removal uses laser energy to break down and remove spray paint from brick, stone, concrete and metal without damaging the surface below. The laser targets only the paint film and does not affect the substrate.

Fire and smoke damage restoration removes carbonised material and smoke deposits from structural elements, door frames, fireplaces and decorative features without the need for demolition or replacement.

All laser stripping work carried out as part of a ColourHaus refinishing project is covered by the same guarantee as the refinishing itself. Standalone laser stripping projects are covered by our substrate-safe guarantee, which means that if any substrate damage occurs as a result of our work, we will repair or replace the affected material at no cost to you.
